Clare and Gillian are the daughters of the well-known local artist, Charlie Tait. He and his family lived in Fambridge Road. They describe their Dad as always painting, being rather eccentric and living in an ‘unusual’ household. His daughters didn’t really appreciate his talents until they were adults.
