Mark describes how he came to run, from the tender age of 18, the kiosk on the Prom which became known as the “Ice Box” for 46 years! He really enjoyed his work and cannot believe how the time went! He describes how the demise of the swimming lake and Covid affected his trade, and how the Prom and its visitors have changed over time. Through very hard work most of the year he was able to have good holidays during the winter months. His retirement was caused by ill health and a realisation he was getting older - a year later he still misses work every day.
